Chief of Police: Tyler Welsh

Chief Tyler Welsh serves as the Chief of Police for the Hebron Police Department, leading the agency with a strong commitment to professionalism, integrity, and community partnership. Since becoming a full-time law enforcement officer in 2012, Chief Welsh has built a well-rounded career serving with both the Columbus State Community College Police Department and the Lancaster Police Department.

Prior to his law enforcement career, Chief Welsh also served six years in the United States Army Reserve, which included a deployment to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. His military service helped shape his leadership style, discipline, and commitment to service.

Throughout his career, Chief Welsh has held a variety of assignments, including Patrol Operations, Investigations, Crash Reconstruction, Special Response Team, and Drone Team Commander, among others. These roles have provided him with a comprehensive understanding of modern policing and the evolving needs of the communities that law enforcement serves.
